Rum Runner has offered us another exciting 3 night/3 day Expedition to Flora and Holmes Reefs from April 22nd to April 25th.

Get away for a weekend aboard S.V. Rum Runner, a 66-foot Mono Hull Sailboat with a maximum of 14 divers plus crew.

Flora Reef and Holmes reefs sit almost due East from Cairns in the Coral Sea. Flora and Holmes are known for Hammerhead Sharks frequenting and offers Wall, Deep and Swim-through diving and overhead environments.

When the winds are SE, there are small protected sections of deep drop off wall available to Anchor. ( if northerly wind we will need to go to the unknown protected sections for diving ).

It is for 3 nights/3 days, and allows for open deck / unlimited dive times at two or three of the best sites including a night dive. This means one or two dive site per day with open deck policy ……… you let us know when you would like to dive and a ETA of when you will be back ……….. working around the vessels meal times – no minimum bottom time with us, just go with what your computer is telling you.

Dates Sailing:
Friday 22nd to Monday 25th April 2022

Departure/Return Information:
Departs from Marlin Marina, E finger, Cairns at 16:00 Friday afternoon and returns around 9:00 Monday morning.
As the Monday is a public holiday we will spend more time on the reef on Sunday (for more diving!) and make a later return on Monday than previous trips.

Departure is Fine Weather dependent and Rum Runner will confirm with all bookings as early as possible.
Personal Dive Gear can be loaded onboard anytime from Friday morning.

Unlimited dives – This means one dive site per day with open deck policy. You let crew know when you would like to dive and a ETA of when you will be back, working around the vessels meal times,
