Media HQ is on the corner of Water St and Florence St, opposite Office Works.
The meeting is on Wednesday the 29th of June at 7:00pm.
We will order pizzas (with some vegetarian and gluten free options) and Meda HQ will be selling drinks. Come for updates on the activities of the club and a guest speaker. Non members are also welcome at our club meetings so don’t hesitate to invite your friends!
This month we welcome back marine historian and videographer Max Gleeson as our guest speaker.
In 2019 Max Gleeson and his dive partner Lesley Hillyer completed the second part of the most comprehensive filming ever carried out in Truk Lagoon. The project took eight years, eleven trips and over 300 dives. Max Gleeson will be presenting a summary of that project for the first time. The 25 minute documentary will not only cover the history of the legendary destination and the shipwrecks but also the challenges he and his dive partner experienced in their quest to record over thirty five shipwrecks from stem to stern.
