Tubbataha, Phillippines Liveaboard with MV Stella Maris
Since Tubbataha was discovered in the late 1970s, it has become recognised as one of the most remarkable coral reefs on the planet and is ranked among the top ten dive sites in the world. Because of its isolated location, Tubbataha can only be visited on a liveaboard boat. Divers can experience the reefs’ dramatic underwater terrain, great biodiversity and regularly encounter large marine life such as sharks (hammerheads, whalesharks, grey reefs & white tips, and at times even a tiger shark), dolphins, turtles and various rays, including mantas.
Our liveaboard dates are 23 – 29 MAY 2024 (6 nights/19 dives), which coincides with the full moon to maximise the chances of encountering large pelagics and seeing maximum fish action! It is however the period of strongest currents and as we will also be diving in the deep blue @ 2000m+ depth (though only diving to a max depth of 30m), this trip is for experienced divers with a minimum of Advanced OW and Nitrox certifications.
The whole trip will be from 22 to 30 May 2024 (8 nights/9 days) in total given the travel time. (We depart Cairns on 22 May with an overnight stay in Manila; On the return leg, we take an overnight flight on 29 May, arriving back in Cairns on 30 May 2024.)
For package inclusions, accommodation, costs, and most importantly booking details please refer to your club emails. Make no delay, as this trip will fill quickly!
