In conjunction with DivePlanit, we have optioned a full charter on MV Blue Melody. This spacious liveaboard boasts a large dining area, two air-conditioned lounges with state-of-the-art entertainment systems, a shaded outdoor seating area and bar as well as a sundeck, all providing plenty of space and possibilities for relaxing between dives. With three double bed and ten twin bed cabins, all benefiting from ensuite facilities, air-conditioning and plenty of storage space, Blue Melody comfortably accommodates up to 26 guests. A generous dive deck also makes kitting up and getting in the water a stress-free experience on this beautiful Red Sea liveaboard.
We are doing the shark-iest itinerary possible for the Red Sea – BDE: Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone!
Embarkation/Disembarkation will be at Hurghada.
Brother Islands:
60kms & 140kms offshore
Big Brother – spectacular plateau with coral mountains, famous for thresher and grey reef sharks sightings
Spectacular wreck the Numidia & smaller Aida wreck to explore
Small Brother: pristine fan corals, overhangs everywhere to explore, massive collection of hard and soft corals
Abundant pelagic action with regular, seasonal sightings of hammerheads, threshers, grey reef and oceanic whitetip sharks
Daedalus:
Sheer walls covered in overgrown hard coral and a massive variety of reef fish
80kms offshore
Napoleon wrasses and turtles very common
Oceanic white tips, grey reef and threshers often spotted
Most famous for the schooling scalloped hammerheads seasonally seen out in the blue
Elphinstone:
Red Sea legend with strong & often unpredictable currents, with rich rewards
Plateaus covered in hard and soft corals, stunning walls down to 40+ metres
Grey reef sharks and Napoleon wrasses regularly spotted
Scalloped hammerheads and oceanic whitetips occasionally congregate in vast numbers during autumn (when we will be there!)
The corals will be stunning and everything you expect from a dive destination as renowned as the Red Sea – but it will also be pelagic heavy and we are on a mission to see as many sharks as possible!
