Members and How to Join

You can join the Nautilus Scuba Club if you are a certified diver

Membership benefits (in brief) include:

  • Regular club dives with club sponsors plus special extra dives travelling further afield
  • Discounted courses, diving and scuba gear from club Sponsors (aka Our Friends)
  • Meeting new dive buddies at our monthly BBQ meetings and other social events
  • Annual Nautilus Club Underwater Photo Competition

Membership costs:

Membership is $90.00 per FINANCIAL year.

Discount available in the month of July. Both new and renewing members receive a discount of $20 if the fee is paid between the 1st of July and on or before the 31st of July so it costs only $70. We encourage payment in July because the AGM is held then and to achieve a Quorum we require paid up members in attendance.

Junior members: $45.00 per FINANCIAL year. Junior members need to be under 16yrs and have at least a Junior Open Water Dive Certificate. Please note that on dive trips, minors always have to be accompanied by a [diving] parent or guardian.

We don’t offer pro-rata discounts for part-year membership but members who have joined on or after the 1st of January enjoy an additional $20 discount when they renew in the following financial year.

How to join the club / renew your membership

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
To become a member is a very simple 3 step process:

STEP 1 Fill out the membership form [NB: every member [new and ‘old’] needs to fill out this form every financial year. Wait until after the 1st of July to renew for a new financial year]
STEP 2 New members have to have theirCertification Card validated by our membership officer
STEP 3 Pay your membership fee.

APPROVAL PROCESS: Once we have received your membership form, C-card [for new members] and payment, your application will be discussed in the committee meeting for approval. If you are in a hurry, please contact the membership officer via clubmembership@nautilus-scuba.net
All applications for membership are processed as quickly as possible.

Please appreciate ALL club committee members are volunteers so everything is done ‘best efforts’.

Further information

The approval process starts when the club has received your application form, your C-card [new members only] and your payment.
If for some reason your membership application is not approved by the committee, then your membership fee will be refunded fully.
