Our next upcoming exciting dive trip is… SS Yongala! On Saturday 21st October 2023. 

Due to this being an out of Cairns monthly dive and there being only 12 spots available (unreserved), get in early to book and plan accommodation accordingly.
For members that can’t attend this time around, we will be organising another SS Yongala trip in 2024 so you don’t miss out.

Bookings are now OPEN for 12 places (unreserved) and can be made over the phone or on the website – Yongala Dive
Bookings will close when all positions are booked, you will need to present your nautilus member card at checkout, and for further information on cost and booking please refer to your member’s emails.

Check-in:  No later than 07:30am at the Dive Shop at Alva Beach.
Return: Boat returns at approx. 3:30pm on the day of the trip.

Local accommodation next to the Dive Shop can be booked through Yongala Dive or at the Local caravan park (same place, Yongala Dive have limited accommodation at the caravan park exclusive to them):

You need to hold Open Water certification with 6 logged dives and deep dive training. Open Water divers must complete Deep Orientation dive (underwater skills) with a PADI Dive Instructor during the 1st dive at the wreck (extra cost applies). This may be counted towards the PADI Advanced course at extra costs (text book required). The more experienced divers can choose to dive with a buddy or take a guided tour at no extra cost.

Novice divers (those with less than 20 dives) should ensure they have refreshed their skills within the last six months and will be provided with a dive guide (if adventure or advanced certified) or may be required to take a Deep Orientation dive (extra cost applies).

Minimum age – 15 years of age (certification limits/supervision requirements).
